Situated on the Rhins Peninsular, between Stranraer and the pretty harbour village of Portpatrick, Lochans Lodge and Pottery Cottage are ideally located for a wide range of self-catering holiday visitors. Pottery Cottage is disabled friendly with 32" doorways and wheelchair accessible shower room. Ramped access door.
On the Southern Upland Way, its a great area for walkers. Sandhead is good for fishing, birdwatchers love the RSPB owned Mull of Galloway and cyclists love the area, especially Kirroughtree Forest Park. There are 3 golf courses locally.
There are amazing places to visit both locally and further afield. The beautiful Ayrshire coast with Alisa Craig, Culzean Castle and Rabbie Burns Cottage attract visitors from around the World.
Both apartments are freshly decorated and being constantly improved. They have excellent wi-fi, Smart tv and are fully equipped to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. We are dog friendly, allowing up to 2 dogs in an apartment.
From Stranraer, take the A77 towards Portpatrick. Turn right after about 2 miles, following signs for Portparick and enter Lochans village. On entry into Lochans village we are on the right, directly opposite the Village Hall.
Parking is on road or in the Village Hall car park.
From Glenluce, follow signs for Portpatrick. On entering Lochans, at the T junction turn right and we are on the left opposite the Village Hall.
Reception is through the black gates, 3rd door on right.
